An eight meters tall and diameter 90 centimeters acacia tree collapsed on Jl. Daan Mogot KM 13 or right across West Jakarta one-stop administrative center (Samsat) office today (11/21). The collapsed tree blocked one lane on that road and caused long congestion up to two kilometers, especially from Grogol towards Kalideres.

Sigit (35), TransJakarta Public Service Agency (BLU) officer who witnessed the incident, said the tree collapsed at about 1.30 PM. “Before collapsed, the wind was blowing quite strong. And that situation was worsened with water pipe installation excavation around the tree that makes the soil around it eroded,” he explained.
