Inclusive Urban Mobility Associate

Full-time Jakarta, Indonesia

ITDP Indonesia is seeking a full-time Inclusive Urban Mobility Associate based in Jakarta. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a mission-driven Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) advancing sustainable and low-carbon transport in Indonesia, with the Inclusive Urban Mobility Associate playing a key role in leading and supporting technical work related to inclusive urban planning, gender-responsive mobility, public transport systems, and stakeholder engagement (especially with the targeted vulnerable groups).

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The Inclusive Urban Mobility Associate will support ITDP in leading and supporting technical work related to inclusive urban planning, gender-responsive mobility, public transport systems, and stakeholder engagement (especially with the targeted vulnerable groups). 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Coordinate technical analysis, field surveys, research, and project implementation related to inclusive mobility, gender, and disability inclusion in urban development and transport context; 
  2. Contribute to development of reports, policy recommendations, guidelines, technical notes, and project deliverables; 
  3. Contribute to quantitative and qualitative research activities, including survey design, interviews, FGDs, literature review, and data analysis; 
  4. Coordinate and engage with related stakeholders mainly Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) (e.g. Organisasi Perangkat Daerah/OPDs, vulnerable communities, and vulnerable individual), public transport operators, and both national and sub-national government agencies; 
  5. Conduct preparation of presentations, communication materials, participant data inventory, and reporting documentation; 
  6. Contribute to project management and work planning as needed; 
  7. Represent the organization in meetings, workshops, consultations, and stakeholder discussions related to the issues. 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Women are encouraged to apply;
  • Completed a master’s degree (S2); Hold bachelor (S1) or master’s degree (S2) in Urban Planning, Architecture, Transportation Planning, Public Policy, Gender Studies, Social Development, Anthropology, Psychology, or other related studies; 
  • Approximately 3 years of relevant professional experience; 
  • Strong understanding of urban mobility, public transport, social inclusion, gender/GEDSI, or participatory planning approaches; 
  • Experience conducting policy research, technical writing, and stakeholder coordination; 
  • Familiarity with Indonesian institutional and governance context; 
  • Strong analytical, writing, and communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia and English; 
  • Eager to learn and experience the right ways to communicate and interact with the vulnerable groups; 
  • Experience working with vulnerable groups, CSOs, or participatory processes is highly desirable.

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  1. Support technical analysis, field surveys, research, and project implementation related to inclusive mobility, gender, and disability inclusion in urban development and transport context; 
  2. Support development of reports and project deliverables; 
  3. Assist the implementation of focus group discussions/FGDs, surveys, consultations, workshops, trainings, outreach programs, and stakeholder meetings; 
  4. Support data collection, transcription, desk research, note-taking, and database management; 
  5. Assist preparation of presentations, communication materials, participant tracking, and reporting documentation; 
  6. Support relationship management with community organizations, women groups, disability groups, and other vulnerable-group representatives; 
  7. Provide operational support for fieldwork, events, and project implementation; 
  8. Assist in the process of capturing inputs throughout the communication and interaction made with the vulnerable groups to identify the concerns and gaps to build inclusive mobility and urban design. 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Women are encouraged to apply;
  • Bachelor’s degree in Urban Planning, Architecture, Social Sciences, Public Policy, Development Studies, or related fields; 
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience (or strong internship/project experience); 
  • Good organizational and coordination skills;

ITDP Indonesia is seeking a Senior Human Resources (HR) Associate on a full-time 1 year contract based in Jakarta. This role offers an exciting opportunity to strengthen the operational foundations of a mission-driven NGO advancing sustainable and low-carbon transport in Indonesia, with the Senior HR Associate playing a key role in fostering a diverse, inclusive, and high-performing workplace. 

PROJECT/WORK OVERVIEW

The Senior HR Associate will serve as a hands-on implementer of ITDP’s newly adopted HR systems. The Senior HR Associate will support the leadership team, line managers and employees in embedding the practices outlined in the handbook, promoting internal understanding, and ensuring alignment with ITDP’s strategic priorities. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

HR System Implementation

  • Lead the rollout and implementation of the HR Systems across all relevant operational and administrative processes; 
  • Review systems and processes outlined in the existing system, adjusting as necessary to suit ITDP’s specific needs and to ensure integration across systems and processes;
  • Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of the performance management system, including performance cycle planning, feedback mechanisms, and appraisal documentation;
  • Coordinate and support the full recruitment cycle, including job postings, scheduling, documentation, and candidate communications, in close collaboration with management; 
  • Lead the alignment of HR systems and processes with ITDP Global standards to ensure consistency, compliance, and operational effectiveness;
  • Monitor progress and uptake, and make iterative adjustments based on staff feedback and implementation outcomes; 

Organization Business Partner 

  • Develop and deliver internal communications relating to HR process updates; 
  • Identify and resolve bottlenecks or misalignments across departments during rollout; 

 HR Tools and Administrative Support 

  • Recommend fit-for-purpose HR tracking or digital tools as needed; 
  • Review and improve internal forms, documentation, and process flows to ensure efficient and compliant HR administration and support line managers in their decision-making. 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree (S1) in Human Resource Management, Psychology, Business Administration, Management, or related fields; 
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Human Resources (specifically in Organization Development / Policy / Systems);
  • Demonstrated ability to lead the adoption of new systems, practices, or tools across small to medium-sized teams; 
  • Experience in an NGO, international organization, or mission-driven environment preferred; 
  • Communicative, meticulous, and able to work in a dynamic environment; 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) 
  • Strong communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia and English (professional-level), both written and spoken;
  • Excellent skills in coordination and service, problem-solving, teamwork, planning, and organizing;  
  • Proactive and able to work independently.
