“It’s too hot to cycle here!”
“I will sweat too much if I cycle here”
Those are some opinions that came up whenever cycling in tropical countries is being discussed. This often became a major barrier in promoting cycling as a mode of commute. In collaboration with GTALCC, ITDP Indonesia together with:
- Inanta Indra Pradana (Cycling Enthusiast from Surabaya, Indonesia)
- Gregers Reimann (Bicycle commuter & Green Building consultant based in Kuala Lumpur)
talked about the experiences of cycling in both Indonesia and Malaysia. The panel also discussed the weather and climate factor, user experience of cycling, lessons learned, and key success factors.
