ITDP Indonesia Joins Speaker Lineup at Global Mass Transit’s 5th Annual Conference in Bangkok
Rifqi Khoirul Anam, Transport Associate at ITDP Indonesia, was featured as a speaker in the fourth session of “Clean Buses in APAC,” titled “Roadmaps to Reality: Charging Infrastructure, Financing Models, and E-Bus Deployment,” held in Bangkok on March 17. The session brought together government officials, public transport authorities, operators, bus manufacturers, consultants, and academics all across the Asia Pacific.
In his presentation, Rifqi shared key lessons from the development of e-bus roadmaps in several Indonesian cities, highlighting incentive strategies, key policy measures, and business models supporting the electrification of Transjakarta. Moreover, he outlined recommendations on regulatory frameworks to accelerate electrification, contributing solutions to the discussion. This presentation offered city-level perspectives on sustainable development in Indonesia, especially on Jakarta’s progress in electrification.
To facilitate a deeper exchange of knowledge and solutions on e-buses, the session also featured Adlia binti Marodzuan, Senior Engineer for Prasarana Malaysia Berhad, and was moderated by Ivan Lim, Head of Singapore Desk from the Vietnam ASEAN Hydrogen Club (VAHC). The presentation fostered an engaging discussion and was followed by a Q&A session, where various questions emerged, including those on the factors shaping policy changes in Indonesia.
