Jakarta LEZ Roadmap

Low Emission Zone (LEZ) is an important strategy to address the issue of air pollution from transportation sectors in Jakarta. Indicating from NOx and PM2.5 level, the land transportation sector is accountable for 64% and 58.9% of production, respectively. Although Jakarta government has implement a micro-scale LEZ in Kota Tua, it does not contribute to meaningful pollution reduction at the city level.

ITDP Indonesia, supported by the UK Government through the UK PACT program, launched the “Jakarta LEZ Roadmap” document that formulates recommendations consisting of a delineated LEZ area and its implementation stage as one of the Jakarta strategies to decrease the air pollution from the transportation sector in Jakarta.
