Institute for Transportation and Development Policy (ITDP) New York has cooperated and gave technical help to Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) system development since TransJakarta first operated in 2004. For seven years services, ITDP New York evaluated TransJakarta bus potentially becomes the best BRT system in the world.
Executive Director ITDP New York, Walter Hook, said TransJakarta bus system has the longest service space in the world. However, it needs to adapt just like other BRT system by adding new lanes.
