The 8th annual Sustainable Transport Awards are accepting nominations. This is the first year that we’ve asked the public to contribute their ideas on which cities are doing the best job at making their transportation systems greener, safer and friendlier to cyclists and pedestrians.

The STAs are presented in January in Washington, D.C. and recognize cities that have made major significant progress over the past year. This year there is also a category for “Enduring Commitment to Sustainable Transportation.”

Past award winners include Paris, London, New York, Guangzhou, China, Seoul, Korea, Ahmedabad, India, Guayaquil, Ecuador and Bogotá, Colombia.
