 JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com — Alasan sejumlah warga Pondok Indah, Jakarta Selatan, yang meminta keberadaan busway di kawasan elite tersebut dipindah ke Pondok Pinang dinilai tidak rasional. Sebab, penyebab kemacetan bukanlah bus transjakarta, melainkan mobil pribadi.

"Kalau alasannya macet, enggak rasional karena transjakarta cuma berapa biji. Yang bikin macet kan justru jumlah kendaraan pribadi," kata pengamat transportasi dari Masyarakat Transportasi Indonesia (MTI) Darmaningtyas saat dihubungi, Selasa (4/6/2013).

Daripada mengkritisi jalur transjakarta, kata Darmaningtyas, lebih baik warga Pondok Indah mengkritisi jumlah parkir liar maupun angkutan kota lain yang sering berhenti di sembarang tempat. "Mengatakan busway bikin macet salah besar karena keberadaan parkir liar dan angkot ngetem sembarangan lebih memacetkan, kenapa enggak dipermasalahkan?" tanyanya.

Selain itu, lanjut Darmaningtyas, jika jalur dihilangkan, apakah ada sarana transportasi massal layak lainnya yang tersedia melewati kawasan tersebut.

ITDP partnering with Green Radio andTransJakarta invites Jakarta residents to participate in Park (ing) Day event. Park(ing) Day is a public awareness campaign by cities around the world brings about the issue of reclaiming the space and reconsider the value of space which objective is to draw attention to the need of public and open space, to generate critical debate about how public space is created and allocated, and to improve the quality of urban life.

Since its inception in 2005 by Rebar Studio in San Francisco, the implementation of Park (ing) Day spread throughout the world, in 2011 975 installations scattered Park (ing) day in more than 160 cities on six continents.
