Kemal joined ITDP in February 2024 to contribute to making cities more liveable and public transportation systems more reliable, sustainable, and equitable. The Yogyakarta native holds a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), with a subject focus in multi-modal transport integration, & a Master’s degree in Urban Railways from University College London (UCL), with a keen interest in railway economics and the potential of land value capture to support infrastructure investment. 

An avid sports fan, Kemal relishes watching football, F1, and the NFL whenever he gets the chance. He also finds escape in running, cycling, traveling, food, photography, and documenting life through short videos.
