Rizkika Zulhijjiani

Urban Planning Associate

Rizkika Zulhijjiani, who goes by Kika, holds a Bachelor’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning from Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) and an MSc in Urban Management and Development from the Institute for Housing and Urban Development Studies (IHS), Erasmus University Rotterdam. Before joining ITDP, she worked as an urban designer. Kika is interested in how cities take shape and how planning responds to the many complexities cities hold. For her, a city is more than a spatial construct, it is made of conversations, memories, dreams, and contradictions, and it carries millions of different lives and countless invisible narratives. She believes planning should begin by listening to everyone. As an urban planner at ITDP, she works to make sure public transport serves everyone, not only moving people but improving the quality of their lives, and in doing so making cities more liveable.

Outside of work, Kika enjoys visiting places that bring her joy, whether a library or a public space. She likes lively places and being around people. When she is too tired to go out, she turns to sitcoms. She has watched a ton many, but Veep remains her favourite!
